Yes, the date for this comic is correct in a sense. I started this wayyyyy back in November 2009 as part of a challenge to see if I could keep up a regular schedule like your average webcomic, except for me I was lacking in the web departments, so I was basically throwing this up on Photobucket and linking it to friends that were interested. Also back then the schedule I gave myself was so ridiculously insane that I was pretty much destined to burn out on it. Live and learn I guess.
